The nurses were very friendly and caring, especially Eva the Spanish nurse. She was always cheerful and positive. She was a delight. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fine. As I haven't stayed in hospital for very many years I was naturally a bit nervous, but I have to say that my experience at Warwick was very positive which impacts positively when you get home. My only criticism is regarding discharge. You can be waiting hours for discharge, so you cannot arrange anyone to pick you up until the last minute. This is frustrating not only for the patient but also the staff who are frequently asked by the patient "when am I going home". This must be so wearing for them. Also when I came in for the op at 7.30 I had to sit in a cubicle for approximately 7 hours. It would be nice to sit somewhere more comfortable so you could communicate with other patients, and newspapers to read?
