This was my THIRD pacemaker (or 'Box') change. By now, I ought to have got the hang of it all, but I have to admit to being as nervous as I was on the insertion of my first pacemaker (2003). However, Dr. Nigel Clarke's Special Medical Operation began with clarification of the confusion that arose from Echocardiogram and a disturbing discussion with a GP (Abbey Medical). The air of calmness in the Cath. Lab., combined with the relaxed, but very professional nursing care (Phil, Shaheen, and Enrico) on the 'ward' before and afterwards, was a huge help. Gurj, Serafina, Suzanne supported Dr. Clarke in the Lab. I have to confess that was not conscious for the whole event, but was very happy to let the detail fade from view.
What lovely people!
