Review of Wallingford Community Hospital St Leonards Ward
14th August 2024

Attentive, although not as good as I would have liked.

Suggested improvements
Quicker response on bell, particularly at night. Felt one member of staff was not attentive when I was asking to be changed. I feel they could have taken the time to help me sooner than they did.

The discussions about my care have been informative. They have been pushing me on. They know what is required to help me rehabilitate. The Equipment is first class, although using it can be a bit frightening.

Suggested improvements
I do not know how to improve something that is first class.

Most staff are very kind. The grounds and surroundings are nice, the garden is lovely to look at from my window.

Suggested improvements
Few night staff show no empathy. I get left for long periods of time through the night when needing to use bed pan

Kind and compassionate staff who seem to really care. Food is good.

Suggested improvements
More structured therapy - explain that refusing is not an option and that therapy is needed to help my dad recover and be able to go home.

Very good therapy. answered when I had a question. Treated you how you wanted to be treated. If they didn’t know the answer to question they would find someone that did.

Suggested improvements
Some of the food.
