Needs clearer and proper discharge planning before leaving.
Better handling of eupd patients
Sometimes hard to get hold of a nurse, having to wait a long time. Long time between seeing consultant and for decisions to be made for leave. Activities are especially great. Good choice of food. Every thing is good
The activities area and staff supporting this area have made this a positive environment/experience.
I have been on ruby ward more than once. Percent staff are on the whole more respectful, organised and safe. Agency staff use is a huge issue for the ward. Agency staff are poorly inducted, seem to have limited knowledge of mental health and of practices and polices of the ward they are working on - I feel it makes the ward genuinely dangerous. They claim to work to the recovery model but few can name the concepts of the model and rarely apply them. Positive risk taking is discouraged and communication remains the most concerning and distressing aspect of the ward. The activities program is like blood to the ward and without it the ward couldn't function.
The caring inside the ward was alright, I never had so big problems with nobody because I'm not a such a worrier person, almost not with people who doesn't have a problem with me. I'm a quite introvertit personal,I enjoy spending time by myself, and more when I have problems to solve, because of me,and I don't like to ne interrupted. But if is a problem inside the ward, is the communication between the staff and the patients. Sometimes the staff doesn't give any attention with our necessities.
Needs more staff in clinics. Too long waiting
