The treatment on Ruby ward depends on the staff on duty. Yesterday a Dr saw me to review my physical health. He was a FY1. He treated me a a person. And with respect. Today I told the nursing staff on duty that a patient was targeting me and this was considered to be funny by the nurses! They laughed and said that the patient was 'crazy in her head'. What they didn't understand that this patient was upsetting me to the point of tears. They didn't even think of speaking to the patient. I am afraid and cannot attend any of the activities fir fear that this patient said she will get me. It is so unsafe to be on this ward. Staff allow other quiet patients to be intimidated.

Suggested improvements
Staff can take patients concerns seriously. I am a nurse myself, and I listen to patients and follow this up with appropriate actions. I don't laugh at the patients. I don't say patients are sick in their body or crazy in their head.
