Only the Transitions Social Work Team were good. They went out of there way to learn about my conditions, how the affect me, how they could help me and they took things at my pace. My Care Coordinator in Adult Mental Health has never done that. She barely communicates with me, doesn’t understand me or my conditions, makes no effort to see how I am or talk with my mum.

Suggested improvements
You could train ALL your staff in neurodiversity, in how being neurodivergent affects people’s ability to engage, communicate and understand. You could have staff that appreciate your physical health conditions rather than pretend they don’t exist. Staff that don’t insult you about your appearance in the waiting room in front of other people. Staff that communicate properly, effectively, work collaboratively with me and my mum who is my carer. I feel completely misunderstood, let down and forgotten by my care coordinator. And staff that take responsibility for their actions and the impact they have on people like me. Instead, they gaslight me and my mum and treat us awfully.
