I am carer and next of kin for Shirley for 24 years and manage Shirley's physical and mental health needs fairly effectively but from time to time her mental illness causes some concerns, however when the position becomes unmanageable I will call in the help of the doctors and persons involved to. Help with further involvement. the staff at the Whiteleaf do their best to contain this and seek to stabilise her. I currently attend every day to assist with her nutrition which can be poor at this period of time, especially important as she is diabetic on insulin and the need to eat regularly is essential. Peter.
