The therapist I am seeing (David Tilbrook) is a really good example of what a therapist can/should be (in my view). He is both kind and compassionate but at the same time not afraid to make me work really hard during sessions and trying to look at very difficult things/issues. The biggest improvement that I feel could happen is that each person was assessed as to number of sessions probably required and that there was not a definite shop point. For someone like myself with very ingrained and hard to deal with issues, a time limit is very difficult to work with. I think the therapist should be allowed to decide. I do of course know NHS restrictions and am grateful for help I do get.
