As a carer for my son who has suffered from depression for over twenty years I am completely dissatisfied with how the staff function at the Whiteleaf Centre. They speak of team work, care plans but in reality it is individuals who operate within a very narrow sphere of competence. Their external communication is poor, they do not check medical records and simply pass letters backwards and forwards between the primary and secondary level of “ care” . There is a waiting list of over 15 months to access Adult Autism ( this was prior to Covid) assessment or CBT and the basic message is take this pill as an antidepressant.
