We were very appreciative of the prompt response once referral was accepted, and how seriously the service took our daughter's condition. Ongoing regular contact was good with us as a family, both in the initial crisis phase and during recovery. Our daughter has regained a full healthy weight and recognises the seriousness of her condition. Thank you for all your help.

Suggested improvements
It took us around 6 months to get a referral to the ED Service from our initial consultation with the GP. We found it very difficult to be taken sufficiently seriously by either the GP or school nurse (which was then exacerbated by the start of the pandemic). Eventually we had to self-refer via the ED consultation line, by which time our daughter's weight was seriously low. However once we had a referral, assessment and the start of treatment happened quickly. Subsequently, while we have been very happy with the quality of support offered from therapists, the administration of review meetings has been rather sporadic, with several CPA meetings being postponed or cancelled at short notice.
