Share review of Stoma Services
After an initial mixup with no referral from Hospital I referred myself.
The Fittleworths Customer Care Advisor then didn’t send a referral to their Stoma team which caused a 10 day delay.
I contacted Fittleworths again & the next day spoke to their Stoma services and was contacted by Caitrin the following day & she arranged to visit me after the weekend
Immediately I felt she was someone who was listening to me & together we would find solutions to my stoma care problems.
She was just what I needed after quite a few bad experiences in hospital including no stoma care.
She is friendly yet professional, knowledgeable about stoma care and products, encouraging and shows empathy.
I needed all these qualities (even though I’d already had 2 stomas for nearly 30 years) to regain my confidence as I’d been quite poorly & the new stoma performs quite differently.
She offered me options for different pouches & arranged for samples to be delivered & visited again to check the stoma & that I was confident I had the best pouches to meet my needs.
I refused a further visit as I felt I was progressing but she emphasised that she is only a phone call/email away & I should contact her if needed
