Review of St Peter's Hospice - Hospice at Home written by a family member

All of the staff were so thoughtful, calming to talk to carer who went above and beyond with one particular male carer who went above and beyond in giving my husband a safe transition from bed to hospital bed and without him the experience would not have been the same.

Suggested improvements
If a ca{ } is on their own, especially a female I would think about who goes to the home, especially a night call, us having 2 males at 2 am in the morning could be mother doubting for some. (I was fine but a thought for others).

Nurse Emma Gardiner who was my point of contact could not have been kinder or more thoughtful. When I finally reached a point where I needed felt she arranged for two nurses to attend they arrived about an hour before my wife died and waited here until I was ready to talk to them. They then offered to wash a lay my wife out, which they did beautifully. I am extremely grateful to both of them.
