Review of St Peter's Hospice - Hospice at Home written by a family member

It was really good, the way Abbi, always got things done. She was always there at the end of the phone. Also the contact between Abbi and Dr. Mahen everyone always knew what was going on. The nurses although we only had there with us for 2 nights and 1 1/2 days were brilliant. Again everyone knew what was going. When my husband passed away they were very kind and compassionate. Thank you so much.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. They all did there very best for you to make you comfortable and enjoy your day out. I met some very nice people, even the men where very friendly and would help you noting was too much trouble a very nice happy place. No one need to be afraid to spend time in there with so many helpful people. Every thing is there if you need it also you can learn to do some small thing as a pans time. All the very best to all the helper you are doing a very good job.

Well being programme. The OT's nurses and volunteers were amazing and made me feel it is still at to be alive. Hurraah!!! There were 2 "specialists" who immediately picked up on my in adequate which I was already aware of and made me feel that I needed a lot of work to put it night. At this time in my life I do not have the energy and I night just as well pack it in her.

* Very good to have had a series of conversation with hospice nurse both by 2 visits and telephone calls. Means I have confidence that we/have thought of all aspects of care. * Also very reassuring that nurse talks with oncology team, GP, district nurses feels joined up care. Sister - The advice line is brilliant. I have rang them 5 or 6 times now for help with managing oramorph and MST for my brother.Every time, the nurse has been so careful, thorough and helpful. Their advice and the fact they are there has made me feel safe.
