Review of St Peter's Hospice - Community Team written by a patient
21st November 2020

The times I have been very poorly the nurses have been a great relief then constant telephone calls were a welcome for me and my wife. They are so caring and nothing is too much trouble/nThank you.

Suggested improvements
I do not think anyone could treat us any better or do any more than you are. We know we only have to put up the phone and help is there.

Review of St Peter's Hospice - Hospice at Home written by a family member
20th November 2020

Every single member of the team at St Peter's Hospice was extremely kind, sensitive, compassionate and knowledgeable. I have nothing but praise for everyone I encountered, but particularly Cath Collins, the Community Nurse who looked after us. My Mother was treated with such dignity and I was made to feel as an important part of the process. Thank you St Peter's for making my Mother's final journey such a gentle one and for supporting me as her carer.

Suggested improvements
If I was pressed to suggest something (and it is difficult to think of anything), perhaps an earlier involvement of Hospice At Home. Defining the final two weeks is virtually impossible, and Mum passed away later in the day after our very first palliative nurse coming to our home for a whole shift.

Review of St Peter's Hospice - Community Team written by a family member
2nd November 2020

My wife was discharged from hospital on Oct 3rd , sadly with a terminal illness. Abbi from St Peters was soon in touch , and offered advice and guidance and all necessary help. She was kind enough to call me a few times regarding my wife's condition , and I found these conversations to be kind and uplifting and it was easy to realise her genuine concern and understanding, `I shall be eternally grateful to her for her approach to me and for my wife's illness. We then had practical assistance in the way of a night sitter which I believe was arranged by St Peter's. Sadly my wife passed away in the early hours of the 31st `October , and at that time I received great comfort from all , including the District Nurses and carers. Abbi did a lot of the arrangements on my behalf and that gave me peace of mind. The experience with St Peter's will always remain with me

Suggested improvements
I do not believe St Peter's service could not have been bettered

Mum has been treated with dignity and respect, she has been treated as though she is the only important we are so very grateful for mum being able to rest at the hospice, so we as a family can spend quality time with her, we as a family have felt supported and cared for as much as mum. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Review of St Peter's Day Services - Complementary Therapy written by a patient
9th October 2020

The complementary therapy team offered me a choice of therapy to suit my needs. The team were very kind and nothing was too much trouble. The therapy was delivered in a professional manner and left me feeling relaxed.

Suggested improvements
I cannot recall any part of the complementary therapy techniques that could have been more appropriate for either the convalescing or the palliative care setting.

St. Peters provides a peaceful and beautiful setting. Every comfort is provided for and I have been over-whelmed by professionalism kindness and dedication of all the team here. Communication is excellent and my needs have been placed at the centre of care provided. It has been wonderful staying here.

Suggested improvements
Can not think of anything.
