1. Meeting on a regular basis people who were aware of my situation and needs, so that medical and psychological support were available - this was invaluable. 2. After a brief assessment b the doctor on duty at my first visit, I had no contact at all, and I regard the 'signing off' letter as perfunctory. The contents were not discussed with me, & no mention given to my GP of any problems encountered during the twelve weeks course. 3. On the whole, I am very grateful to St.Peter's Hospice, & to the nurse assigned to me, for support during a difficult time of adjustment.
