Staff seemed to care at the beginning of my family members stay the carers/nurses updates and communication was second to none, everyone seemed happy, but sadly this seems to have fallen week by week now leaving my family member looking uncared for, and us as family being concerned about their day to day welfare, unfortunately we feel we can’t raise any concerns due to staff being unfriendly and moody

Suggested improvements
Care for patients like it was their first day with you - Work on family relationships - better communication - be friendly

Response from St Mary's Hospital

Thank you for your feedback and we apologise that the service did not meet your expectations. Any concerns can be raised with the Ward Matron as we take our patient’s care and experience seriously and endeavour to take the most appropriate action in promoting safe and quality care. As part of the on going family updates we facilitate weekly ward rounds where family can attend and be actively involved in a patients care and treatment.
