The helpers were caring and kind, and more outdoor activities could be involved to make the service more fun?
I think it was fine and really good.
The access to advice has been such an amazing resource throughout this time. The care given by the staff has been absolutely fantastic in such a sad time, it has been a weight lifted knowing how much compassion my grandmother is treated with. The carers that attend her each day are wonderful and I hope that the service continues to enable others to access such amazing resources in the future. The loss of this service would be a detriment to every person nearing the end of life in this area.
I liked doing the activities that help you understand how you are feeling and for me nothing needs to be improved. : )
I was promised help with my medical delivery service that is not receiving and vital medicines. No help at all. I had to sort this out myself which stressed me out.
I was also promised to obtain my blue badge. To this day I have not received my blue badge.
I am very disappointed with this service.
No point in contacting them any more.
Andrea helped Emmy understand more about her feelings and provided reassurance and support.
Andrea was great at communicating with me about Emmy and provided support and advice.
My mother fell ill at the beginning of September this year when she was diagnosed with arrhythmia having led a healthy life for 100 years. We were shocked to see how quickly she went from going to her whist drives twice a week as well as coming shopping with me to hardly able to walk and lost all appetite. When the doctor placed her with the end of life team it was a scarey prospect but the reality of what happened next was so different from our expectations. That very day we were told carers would be coming in to help with Mum's personal care as part of the 'virtual ward' scheme. We were knocked out when they arrived by their gentle, calm approach mixed with obviously extensive experience of someone in my Mum's condition and also the family at this heartbbreaking time.
The Singlepoint phone system has been a real support, just being able to call then at any time of the night or day either for advice or to summon medical help. Not only are the carers such a wonderful team, the nursing staff have been unfailingly professional, kind and efficient. Their bedside manner towards my Mum has been greatly appreciated for it's way of treating her as an individual human being not just a patient.
Now my Mother's health has gone further downhill and at this really difficult and emotional time we feel cocooned by this service and cannot imagine how it would be for ourselves or any other family without this.
I therefore would like to plead for this pilot scheme to become an established continuous service going forward.
The carers are absolutely magnificent and worth their weight in gold. The respect and love and care they are giving my Grandmother at the moment is unbelievable, they are bright and positive but totally realistic and practical, which is so important as it gently but firmly gives families the facts they need. The service via Singlepoint is fantastic - when we needed to call, whatever time of day, we received fantastic care each time which is so reassuring as it helps families know what to do. I cannot praise this service highly enough, it has been a Godsend.
They help me a lot. So very kind and helpful while you are there they also help me with my breathing trouble I cannot thank them enough.
It was so good to talk in a comfortable friendly relaxed environment. No pressure - just calm. Rehab in this format worked well for me. No medical advice given but after a 19 week wait I will see the respiratory team. I appreciated the reassurance and positive encouragement.
Thank you.
