Amazing staff, Dr's and facilities.
Took time to listen and explain.
Relaxed atmosphere.
Everyone made to feel at ease.
Peaceful.
Thank you.
Everyone was very friendly.
I was at a total loss during my husband's last days and when he died. St Helena's was my first port of call when I didn't know what to do or who to turn to and it felt more like speaking with friends than some remote organisation.
It was quite informal but very much tailored to my needs. Felt like I was talking to a family member but without the emotional burden.
I felt at ease and not that I was being analysed too much. Counselor shared personal experiences which help build a bowel and empathy. ( Yvonne was the counselor).
Without the support of single point, I would not have been able to being my husband home.
The support, equipment and care was supplied extremely quickly.
The nurses and carers were kind, supportive and gentle. I could not have wished for any better treatment.
My husband and my family were treated with dignity and respect from the beginning to the end.
This is a service that should be supported, encouraged and nurtured.
I cannot thank them enough.
We were very happy with all the help and advise we received.
Have hardly any experience of it yet.
The help, support and understanding of all staff was fantastic.
Knowing I could speak over phone with AG Dale was my life-line through what has been an awful time during my dad's illness, passing.
On behalf of my now deceased dad, myself and all the family, we thank you.
St Helena Hospice was awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2024 for delivering outstanding care.
