Staff attending were always cheerful, always reliable spoke to patient explaining all their actions, treated mainly with respect, never appreciated in a rush. Very re-assuring presence.

Suggested improvements
Communication to other agency’s, messages left to relatives to pass on, at a very stressful time. This is relevant to all services, no one seems to communicate to each other.

Review of Adult Bereavement Service
25th May 2022

I’m very grateful for the bereavement therapy I received from Amber, I have experienced a traumatic loss & I had no idea where to start or how to try & deal with this situation. Amber was always so supportive, understanding, caring & professional. Talking to her has really helped, I know this is a long journey for me, Amber has been there from the start, she has given me the knowledge & understanding of the grief process which has guided me through the last couple of months & I'm hoping to continue to make small positive steps in my recovery. I’m very thankful for the support & I know if I feel I need to come back in future I’m able to re-refer myself again, which is a great comfort to know your door is open for further help if I need it. Thank you Amber! Helen

My mother was visited when she was dying, and I was called after. Counseling was also offered to me and provided. It was sensitive, and very helpful. Thank you (It was Christian).

Suggested improvements
Possibly sites my mum more, but I understand resources are not exactly abundant these days.

I have not experienced palliative care before and I am so very grateful for all the help and support given. I cannot fault it. The nurses and care staff were so kind and compassionate, in my view they were my angels, I cannot thank everyone involved with mum's care enough.

To be honest at the beginning I wasn't sure that this was going to work. How completely wrong I was. Ambar was my rock. I will remember all her words of advice for years to come. I am so grateful

Suggested improvements
Personally I wish I had a few more weeks and I would have loved to meet her in person. But maybe I'm being greedy
