Review of Bereavement written by a patient
13th April 2016

Bereavement counselling with Lorraine. A series of thoughtful thought provoking sessions which helped me to identify problems and see ways to climb out of the depression I had got myself into. I am now much more optimistic about my future life. Lorraine facilitated the decisions I can now make about myself.

Lovely therapist- Jenny. Amazing therapeutic treatment (reflexology) with good 'feel good' factor and positive effects. Would really welcome a course of 6 - only if availability as I understand how important these therapies are for others too! (Had 2 treatments already.)

The care I received with Valerie Lockert could not be improved. The empathy kindness and help she gave me, to come out of a big black hole helped me with a new meaning to life. Without my darling son. So thank you for all your help and understanding.

All the things I have been through I didn't feel judged, even though so far fetched. I felt listened to and heard. I was given work to do at home and general advice, this was key to me getting through this time.

I have been going to see Wendy at the clacton-on-sea hospice for bereavement. She was absolutely wonderful. She listened to all I wanted to talk about even though it was about other personal things as well as losing my husband. She is such a lovely person, caring. I told her about times on my life that I want. Tell anybody else. We are keeping the door open to see how I get on by myself but I have peace of mind knowing Wendy is there if and when I need her.
