There is no bad.
Attention to detail and you should be proud of your people.
I saw Kim for counselling. She made me feel at ease, was kind and sympathetic but not in an overbearing way. I could talk to her about anything. I don't really think there's anything that could be improved.
I normally prefer to listen rather than speak (although this may not have been apparent during the 1 by 1 sessions).
I felt that I was more able to be a listening ear rather than a recipient of comfort and this just happened to suit my then current need.
Please forgive me for completing the opposite page which I think I have done in error. Your hospice was recommended by the patient whose mother received care for three (3) years some years ago. I have been very happy to see Emma as a fairly frequent basis. She has shown me care and the attention I need for someone outside my immediate family my recent medical suggested that my cancer is spreading quickly to have to prepare for an earlier death.
The care that I received from David was fantastic! He always treated me with the utmost kindness. The sessions gave me the space to talk about how I feeling and to talk through ways of dealing with bereavement.
I gained a much better understanding of bereavement throughout the session and was able to explore my feelings in a safe and comfortable environment. I would certainly recommend this service.
I don't think the initial triage call could be improved. It felt very much like a tick box exercise.
A little more care and compassion would have been appreciated that time.
The care and consideration I received were very good. My tablets were adjusted accordingly to suit my needs. I have no complaints about any part of my treatment. I was given good information about all aspects of my dealings with St Helena Hospice.
Everything was excellent (can't beat excellent).
St Helena Hospice was awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2024 for delivering outstanding care.
