My husband was the patient, he passed away 26th September. He was moved from the bay into the activities room, which was great as at one point there was nine of us plus two dogs. Two of our children and myself were able to stay overnight for five days. I can't thank everyone enough. Everyone was so caring. We couldn't have wished for a more peaceful end for patient.
Everything about my care was first class.
The only thing I found that the last medication of the day was very erratic ie 8.30 to 11.30 pm.
No improvements needed. The lady counsellor who was there listened and asked the right questions to get me to bring the grief out and gave me coping strategies for those days when I wasn't strong enough.
The support we received from Ross was excellent. Initially my mother was against support from the hospice however Ross was kind and managed to gain her trust.
Without the support we would not have been able to keep mum at home which was her wish. Thank you.
Such a wonderful atmosphere for us all.
The right age and gender for a person of my age, that being so, could open up about my problem. Thank you very much for sending Byril to me.
Counsellors listened carefully and were able to extend care sessions. In cases such as suicide bereavement length of time and serious need to be extended.
Counsellor was very patient and listened to me and helped me believe there is still something worth living for. I had many doubts in my mind about what the future might hold for me, now I have a clear idea of what could lie ahead for me.
The counselling I had was very good and helped me a lot, I was made to feel at ease and Linda (my counsellor) was very supportive and friendly.
