Both Mary and Judy were excellent at facilitating and enabling the group to discuss feelings and thoughts encouraging us to express yourself. When attending the group first time I was in a very dark place almost giving up. I would not have survived if it wasn't for both Mary, Judy and the group. It enabled me to come to a space once a week where I felt safe and allowed me to realize that my thought process was not abnormal and indeed I wasn't alone. The death of my mum almost destroyed me but the group helped me to survive.
Very friendly environment. Very informative sessions. Chance to meet and talk to others in a similar situation. All were given an opportunity to be involved and heard. Some good discussions and stories.
1. Drivers - very satisfied.
2. Group - sociability very good. Excellent group discussions. Information given on various subjects very good/excellent.
Meeting intelligent people and having good conversation. Having transport provided. I value the firebreak project.
Although I still question the 'all male', I have found it to be a very helpful and very well run course. There has been a very good interchange about our various problems and everyone has listened to what others have to say. To sum it up, 'I have learned quite a lot'.
I have found the staff very caring and helpful. The programme is totally geared to the individual which benefits us all. The discussions and relaxation also play a part in our well being.
Everything was good. No need to improve. Both the relaxing and exercise was good for me.
The care I received from my Counsellor (Susie Burnby) was excellent. She listened and discussed with me all aspects of my care. During my sessions with her I felt comfortable in discussing my hurt and anger that I was feeling. She explained grieving to me and although I will grieve forever she helped me deal with the pain. The service can be improved! A shorter waiting list would help. We need this service early in bereavement.
All staff were caring and supportive. Encouragement was given and understanding of personal abilities. The sessions were made to be fun but with a serious intent.
Everything very informative and clear. Don't improve anything. The format is great.
