It was nice to talk with someone who was not involved. My counsellor was excellent and so helpful. This service is so good.

I am truly grateful for all the support I've had from St. Helena Hospice, both when my husband received support at home for the last weeks of his life and the support you have given me since. Everyone I've spoken to have demonstrated a fantastic understanding of what I've been going through.

Yvonne was very understanding and kind and a good listener. She also made some positive suggestions i.e joining the local community choir, which has helped me a lot, by meeting new people and finding enjoyment in singing.

It may help councillor to empathise and suggest anything that might help if they have experienced your particular type of loss.
However, my care was good, and did help me to understand the process of grief.

Deafness created problems for me.
