Lilian was very caring. She put me at ease and helped me understand my feelings. For me, I feel my visits fulfilled my needs.
John Wilkins who visited me at home was very helpful, sorted out my medication with GP surgery, arranged for the occupational therapist to attend and everything was attended to very promptly, always turned up on time I wouldn't hesitate to contact single point if I needed anything.
John was always friendly and cheerful which was appreciated.
I felt totally supported by Yvonne all throughout my bereavement sessions. She was empathetic with a mixture of common sense and practically and nothing I spoke about fuzed her. She helped to get perspective on my guilt that I'd been carrying with me since my son was diagnosed with cancer, which he subsequently died from and helped me to get to a place of finally grieving instead of using distraction techniques - I am continuing my grieving process with a group session once a week as advised by Yvonne. I cannot praise her enough.
I was visited by Terry Mathieson. She was a really lovely contact for me. Very perceptive and sympathetic. I found her help and advice very supportive. We just got on so well and seemed to have an instant rapport.
My criticism of the service is that it took five months to have my first visit from the bereavement team!
Understand that it's difficult I have many supportive friends and a lovely family but not everyone has this.
Very understanding.
My feelings never well explained and I felt much happier, when it was all explained and so helpful the lady that I had to talk to me was very experienced and I was happy to see her regularly.
I have finished my time, don't feel disappointed that I have to wait at least a month before I can join a group. I feel it should be continued after the time with the care lady.
We both felt the kindness and attention given to me by Emma and doctors and phone lines were excellent at all times, it made me feel safe and cared for. I and patient so appreciated it all and hope in the future if we need to be we can always count on the hospice. Thank you.
The continuous professional support throughout the duration of support process by very caring nursing staff and virtual carers. No improvements identified.
