Kate is an excellent stoma nurse who explained everything she done and helped me with anything I was unsure about and she also gave me some very good tips in regards of the recovery process.

I have always had excellent care from the Airedale stoma nurse team, who are knowledgeable and professional, whilst also being compassionate and helpful. Today’s visit from Kate and her Medilink colleague Lisa illustrated this perfectly. They give you confidence and are careful to recommend the most appropriate product for your needs.
Recently they have guided me through dealing with an ulcerated stoma until it is now fully healed. Regular visits will not now be needed but I know I can call if anything arises.

I had emergency surgery for a loop colostomy, which was quite a shock. It is reassuring to know that there are stoma nurses and community health care assistants to help you navigate your new world.

I had an excellent visit from a community health care assistant who was so helpful on the 20th July.

When told you have had a stoma fitted you feel like your world had fallen apart and you feel you won’t be able to manage, Lucy Ellis my stoma nurse was amazing she explained everything how I can manage and my life could continue as normal with just a few adjustments here and there, I certainly could have not been able to do this without her care and attention to detail. I now have the confidence to carry on and manage my life with my stoma.

I was extremely impressed with the whole "stoma care team"!
All the ladies were very caring as well as friendly and professional.
Whatever worries or concerns I had were dealth immediatly and compassionately.
They were very encrouraging and patient with me and I felt comfortable expressing any worries or concerns I had. Nothing was too much trouble for them!
