the one major thing that I noticed was that every member of staff made eye contact and either smiled or acknowledged you. When you visit hospital it is because you are not well and the last thing you want ,is to see surly, unplesant , bad mannered staff. The out-patients dept. has a very pleasant atmosphere and to me it is a flagship and ALL hospitals could and should learn from you.
Very helpful and respectful, plus friendly
Thankyou so much for your caring approach in a senstive situation.
The care was fantastic! Lots of toys for my daughter to play with what made her feel more relaxed about the visit.
The new children's hospital is overcrowded and the staff appear to be unable to deal with the enourmous crowds that occur in the main reception area. We have regularly been given incorrect information about where to go and have been forgotten about three times in our last three visits. However the nursing staff who had to deal with our son and his needle phobia were first class and, despite being unable to obtain a blood sample from him, they could not have done any more than they did.
Kind, caring manner by all
I will never cease to be amazed by the high level of care i have always received at the R.V.I. The polite and friendly nature of ALL of the medical staff, as well as the exceptional levels of treatment and total cleanliness there, will be hard to beat anywhere! Many thanks.
This was my first visit to the department and the new development at the RVI. I was impressed by the design of the building. The open apsect and general 'space' which had been created.
It was clean and appeared to be well organised and efficient.
All staff were happy and caring towards the children and ourselves. The department was gleaming and lots of activities for the children including free drinks, fruit.
We found directions on signs easy to read and had no problems with staff.Very friendly and down to earth.
