Peter Hall came out to see me when my mother was dying. I didn't actually know she was so close to death until the District Nurse came (I have my mother at home) and she put my Mum on the End of Life Fast Track Program. I have been dealing with my mothers grim situation at home for 4.5 years but when finally she was put on the End of Life program things started to happen and I got the help I had really needed for years. I was grateful to have Peter who called me every couple of days and just knowing I had such support was welcomed. The only suggestion I really have is that it would have been nice if Peter had called to let me know that he was informed that my mother did die - unexpectedly to me really ...even though she was dying for the last two years. I didn't know how the Pilgrims Hospice was informed since I didn't let them know but the calls stopped so I presume someone was. A phone call of condolence would have been a nice closure to my short relationship with PH. Thank you.

On arrival the staff took control of mum and made her feel safe and confident they could help. All staff were extremely knowledgeable and treated mum with genuine compassion throughout.

Every effort and extra kindness, understanding mind and body well rested all comfort. All care I have received has been excellent. I can think of nothing that needs improvement. I think angels exist here.

The kindness of all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Possible improvements: Menu choices. A clock in each room. A cork board to prim photos and cards on.

Peter Hall was my nurse who called to help with pain management etc. He was very helpful in every way and I would have no problem in asking him anything at all. Thank you.

Care given with compassion, empathy, all cares treating my mum with privacy, dignity and respects. Extremely caring and constantly giving reassurance. I wish all cares were as caring and professional.

Notified family when care staff running late, very helpful. Very caring staff for patient and family. Good support re medication checks, ensuring patient receiving correct dosage. Immediate, regular care support when required. As soon as we contacted hospice we have received regular support and advice and home visits.
