I attended Pilgrims Hospice for Therapy Classes which were excellent in every way. I attended Ashford Hospice.
I am not a patient, Its my husband who has Mesothelioma. You treat me very well, I've got all the your telephone numbers and you're all very helpful. But what i need is someone to talk to my husband, hes very frightened and is taking it out on me. His tempers are unbearable and he argues all the time. Its very difficult coping my my own, he's trying to get everything sorted out for me, but he's shouting all the time that i don't listen, But i do.
They have been very helpful as I've had a side effect which is severe body itching- suggested things to help. I enjoy their calls and encouragement. Also when my wife was terminally ill they were very good to her.
The staff, the care, the thought ,the compassion, the genuineness off everyone
Nurses and care 24/7 they work around the clock. Always there when i called or needed them, felt clean and safe.
( Covid, which means not all family visits but i understand this is out of your hands )
I am not currently an in or out patient. A kind and friendly lady rings me for a chat fortnightly which i appreciate. Also you enabled me to acquire a blue badge etc. Thank you.
My care was perfect. Dont think it could be improved.
Staff were always very helpful and listen. Enjoy group meeting in Dover on Friday until continued via Zoom. Good to share information and experiences.
Very quick response once we knew diagnosis. Support was 100% preparing services we will need will be ready. Discussing wishes and worries and very reassuring and professional in a sensitive way. Although we are in lockdown we don't feel the support has lessened- if anything we have much more care and we appreciate it very much.
The staff talk to me, they are confident and poss that am r They gave me tremendous help around my flat.
