Staff were excellent; caring, polite, efficient, professional. Facilities excellent - separate ensuite rooms, flexible beds, TV/radio etc, and very clean. For me the downside was 4 days waiting for surgery after admittance via the surgical assessment unit at 11am on Monday 10/2/14. I remained "on the board" but low priority and obviously secondary to all the emergency cases, I was on Nil by mouth for duration and only managed to eat quickly very late each night. I understand this was rare and I was just unlucky. Not sure how you can improve.

Doctors & nurses listened to my needs. They were extremely patient and tried to understand me. They explained what they were doing & why.

My mother (84) had excellent care from the ambulance staff who arrived promptly, to the nursing assistant, nurse consultant & medical Dr. all were courteous & efficient - explaining everything to mum & me. A few more chairs for relatives would be good.
