999 call was almost a fence with request denied. Referred to a supervisor, who did arrange a call out. Told initially to see GP in 3 days but attending crew took patient to A&E immediately.
Care at hospital is attentive but anxious to get patient home when he is still far from well, with no one at home for support. Waiting for attention does cause anxiety for a frail old man it is apparent resources are overstretched.
