Share review of The Tunbridge Wells Hospital
The service could be more efficient.
Everyone gets a wrist band with their details so could you save time and money and make care delivery quicker by having a system to manage all the standard questions that are asked at least 15 times by everyone involved in your care and sometimes twice or three times by the same person.
I'm sure the questions are important but if you had a traffic light type system on the wrist bands it would be easy for every service provider to see at a glance if the patient was anything other than straightforward .
The questions were:
Date of birth
Any fillings or crowns
Any jewellery
Any past operations
Are you on any medication
Are you allergic to anything
What's your name
I thought it strange but when my 15 year old son questioned it, I thought I should raise it as there must be a better way.
It also appeared to us that there seemed to be so many people involved in the process that there must be a more efficient way forward which would speed up service delivery and reduce the pressure on staff.
The staff were all great and some especially good, so thank you to all of them.
The hospital is also great.
How lucky we all are
