I felt very cared for and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were all very reassuring and made me feel as comfortable as possible. Even the kitchen staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and preferences.
Really lovely staff and after care. Room was comfortable with an en-suite bathroom. Good food and very caring staff.
Iv had a couple of surgeries done at New hall hospital both as nhs and private patient and both times the service was amazing
Absolutely amazing hospital my partner had spinal surgery spinal fusion under the care of Dr Matthew Stenning from his diagnosis to surgery an absolutely top surgeon yes the complications that could have happened was explained but the outstanding surgery he preformed was exceptionally good and my partner who is 32 completely got her life back can not say thank you and recommend DR Matthew Stenning and his team have done
Would recommend Mr Neal Jacobs.
poor advice before operation and a operation that has left me in far more pain after the spinal operation than i was before
First class service, thank you all
I am a wheelchair user and after waiting in reception for 45 minutes, was wheeled to a cubicle where the nurse didn't offer to help me remove my coat or put my bag within reach. I felt I was just dumped as she left quickly. I had no information about how long I would wait or when my operation would be. After 2 hours waiting, another nurse came in and offered to help me take my coat off and put me on a trolley.
After taking blood test etc, she didn't provide me with a pillow or do anything to ensure I was comfortable. This was not what I expected from private funded patient care.
Just over an hour later, I was wheeled to theatre and from then on the care and staff were excellent although the pre-ordered refreshments never arrived before I left.
All staff at New Hall are pleasant and caring.
The procedure before the operation was excellent - physio and anesthetist-! the operation done by Dr Jacobs itself went extremely well - and I was given an excellent room as I had to spend the night.
However there was a lot of unanswered buzzers requesting assistance that continued for a long time ( not from me but from other patients) throughout the night. It seemed staff were busy elsewhere. It felt like staff were stretched. When I was treated by the nurses they were very good and polite.
When I was being picked up by my wife in the car she waited over 100 minutes before the staff were free enough to wheelchair me to the car. Despite being told that I was ready to leave before she arrived. Again it seemed that they were short staffed.
