Whilst the surgery and aftercare can’t be faulted the admission process was a mess. My first appointment which told me to go to the admissions lounge after I had rung to out what time. The new appointment with a new date (a Saturday) arrived and ringing to find I was due in at 07.30 we arrived on time to find the admissions lounge closed. After a while a very helpful nurse told us it was not open on Saturday and i needed to go to a different ward at the opposite end of the hospital.
I think that either the letter with the new appointment should have told me where to go or the male operator I spoke to should have done so

My daughter fell and cut her underarm. We received fantastic care yesterday 21st Aug 2019 while in the A &E dept. She needed 9 stitches and was absolutely terrified The staff there were absolutely fantastic at treating her reassuring her and putting her completely at ease. I was kept up to date with all her care and decisions made I knew she was in safe hands. A Hugh big thank you to Heather McLaughlin and Amanda and Dr Alex whom cared for her. Also a big thank you to May on reception who helped looked after my son while my daughter had her treatment.
