We were seen promptly by a friendly and professional receptionist. The triage nurse was brisk and seemed to miss the fact that we were extremely concerned about my wife's unusually high blood pressure doing little to reassure us. The department wasn't busy at this time. All other nursing staff were polite and friendly. We were subsequently seen by Dr Wightman, a gentle man, both professional and caring. He took time to explain everything he was doing and why it was necessary. We left A and E in a much more positive frame of mind than when we entered, mainly because of the doctor's commitment. My wife is making steady progress. We are very grateful. Thank you.
