Review of Counselling Outpatients written by a patient

Longfiled as a site is extremely calming and reassuring. Your volunteer drivers are exceptionally nice, caring people. The lady I saw is Karen - so very calm, reassuring and perceptive she has helped me move from orpange fitted with misery unhappiness regret, guilt, feeling unable towards acknowledging that not everything is my fault not everything is a failure. I realize I have wasted a lot of her valuable time with noise and that I need to use the tools she showed me and to learn to really listen what a pit I did not realize your caring offers earlier. I thank you for the help I received and willets my best to benefit from what I learned.

Review of Day Therapy written by a patient
29th November 2017

The staff are friendly and highly professional. The facilities are excellent, particularly the various therapies on offer as well as the creative therapy. The various therapies took my mind away from my personal issues and also gave me new interests away from the hospice. I feel that the hospice could be better advertised.

Review of Bereavement Group written by a patient
29th November 2017

A well structured six weeks course. Group engaged to talk about bereavement circumstances and in particular the loss of a loved one. Encouraged to find safe haven did not work for me as too soon after bereavement. Counsellor and trained volunteers showed much empathy. Art/craft exercises and bubble exercises helped enormously. Really looked forward to meetings.

The heart failure group gave support whenever needed. The group worked well together and made me feel relaxed and calm for the rest of the day. I particularly enjoyed the art therapy.
