No improvement needed. A perfect reception and excellent treatment. Thank you Longfield.
Wonderful understanding of my problems. The color of the curtains could be more uplifting - more simple.
The care was good but not suffocating so one felt able to relax. I found myself looking forward to the weekly sessions from which I learnt some fascinating things.
The therapeutic input was excellent. I would have welcomed more of it.The therapists presented new ideas in a non-threatening way, so I was able to be open to it. I am still digesting the input today.
-Individual approach to each patient.
-Space for sharing our thoughts.
-I felt supported in difficult moments.
-Having the course advertised more in local GP's surgeries or community centers would be good.
Transport provided to attend. Felt valued. All staff kind and considerate. Good at listening but also provided helpful suggestions and techniques to practise at home.
I felt I was able to express how I felt at all times that I was listened to and made to feel comfortable and secure. My counsellor was always supportive and would highlight good things when all I could see was black. The facilitators of the bereavement group created a supportive group and encouraged participation so that in the end and the group were able to support each other. I enjoyed the activities and found them very helpful.
The recognition that my bereavement counselling was a shared process in which my therapist and I were both in a learning situation and I endeavoured to find my individual through an unknown hand.
Longfield Hospice was awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2024 for delivering outstanding care.
