My counsellor was kind, compassionate and empathetic. She was a widow like myself which for me helped as she had a true understanding of my bereavement, was able to relate to my feelings and this in turn was helpful in enabling me to see some future for myself. I felt that she really knew and understood my thoughts and feelings. I was provided with tools and information that was also helpful to me in working towards coping with and moving through my grief.

I had not heard of the hospice before I was put in touch with you. All the carers were helpful not only to the patient but to the family carer looking after them between visits. Some of the visits were extremely quick - but I realize there are many patients that need to be seen each day. My father was always left comfortable. Carers always cheery with a smile. If it was not for the carers coming in each day - I would not have been able to manage on my own. I got to know some of them really well. My thanks.

I couldn't have wished for better care. The whole experience was very beneficial to me.My confidence has grown and I feel very lucky to have been at Longfields hospice.

I don't think that I would change anything. Everything was wonderful. Sharon was amazing as so was my treatment, everything is so calm and relaxing and everybody is so polite and helpful and I can't thank you enough for allowing me this treatment and helping me through a bad time in my life and thank you once again.

I wasn't sure what I would get from counselling. I had an open mind. But as weeks went on I felt a benefit from these meetings. My counsellor Louise made me feel very relaxed and at ease.
