Review of Day Therapy written by a patient
29th November 2018

The function of artworking and help to make a lass pictures and a silk sea. It was most interesting. The early chat with nibbles and coffee with Hospice carers and other patients was a great mental support to the group. The meals were great with a mixed group at each table. No energy massage therapy was tied but the physical ones were most appreciated. The ride and chats to Donna was uplifting.

I had 6 weeks of massage therapy. Don't know how this could be improved (other than more serious). I am very grateful for the appointment to have their various and feel more positive about the future. Therapist was amazing. Thank you.

Anne was a fantastic facilitator. She was warm, caring and very supportive. She was encouraging and I feel that I gained a lot from attending the group.

It worked! All members of staff treated us with respect, care and understanding. The therapy programme really helped me to not only work through the issues I thought I had, but also other areas of my life.

I was made to feel extremely cared for and important. I have been given the confidence to follow a new hobby as all of my other pastimes have been able to follow a new hobby as all of my other pastimes have been taken away. I have been able to talk through all my worries and doubts and find the positives to go forward. I usually struggle to open up about my fears but I was able to do this with ease.

I received counselling which was very helpful as was able to express my grief and emotions listen in group sessions and as individual. The forms has given me ongoing support in the form of a continued group of friends, sharing a common bond.

At Longfield the care was all about the patients needs and wants. The care given was great. I feel like I mattered as a person and that nothing was to much trouble for the staff and volunteers. I felt welcomed and comfortable. I didn't have to do anything but just be thought. Therapies were available if required. Very restful too.

We were talked to and never put under any pressure, I always arrived feeling very relaxed and ready to take any challenges within the group. I feel it would benefit so many people and Anne is an excellent host.
