On my first, introductory, visit to Longfield, I was very impressed by the helpful courtesy with which I was treated and by the friendliness of those I met. Rather cynically, I rather expected that this was because I was a new potential patient and it was important to give a good impression. However, my subsequent 12-week course soon dispelled that idea and I must emphasise that on every occasion every member of the staff and volunteer force was helpful, friendly, patient and very wiling to listen and act upon every request without any sign of disagreement or lack of interest, Every one of the patients I spoke to during my time there made the same point - that an atmosphere of calm pervaded everywhere and that the staff were always friendly and helpful. Obviously I cannot speak for any of the other patients on the matter of their personal care and treatment but in my particular case I can only say that everything I experienced was of a very high standard and very professionally provided. I really cannot make any suggestions on possible improvements to the system. All appears to be working well and I hope that this will continue. It will be vital not to let the high standard start to slip
