The ward nurses are amazing and work very hard and long hours, I have no complaints with them. My gripe is with the doctors who do not seem to communicate very well with them. My father has been in a week now and has seen numerous doctors, each telling him different things. We were told he had a blood problem but have still not been told what the problem is. Today he was told he could go home, after waiting a few hours I asked when he was going home, at this point the nurses on duty did not even know he was going. The doctor was there and informed them at this point. Unfortunately the same doctor had not done my fathers inr, which he was asked to do in the morning. This was then done at 3.30 pm. We have just arrived home (9.30pm). We have waited more than two hours for 14 tablets to bring home. This is not good enough and upset my dad. This is not the sort of treatment you expect from a hospital and I am very disappointed and will be complaining to the complaints department.
