The pcart team are exceptional. They are kind and responsive. They listen, are calm and polite and a credit to the NHS. Louise who does the physical health check is fantastic and a credit to NHFT. Nicola Hines is also an asset to the team. Thank you for all you do.
I feel that I have been treated with care and compassion by the PCART team, there were some difficulties along the way, but these were resolved.
Thank you for your feedback - we will share this with the team.
Time was spent listening to me. Things were explained clearly.
I have given these answers because it took a long time to get my first appointment with the team and since then I've had minimal and inconsistent communication. The written plan from my psychiatrist to my GP had mistakes and mentioned things I don't remember discussing during my appointment. I have called several times for clarification and had no response. I am very concerned that I will be discharged from the team without a plan of care in place of sufficient diagnosis to recieve appropriate care.
Thank you for your feedback, we have a multidisplinary team which runs on nurses, support workers, occupational therapists who will take the calls from our telephone duty system and assess them. They will escalate to relevant professional once they have triaged the calls. We do not offer an urgent service but should there be an urgent matter will be escalate this accordingly.
I didn't feel listened to and I didnt give my consent for my case to be given to a junior doctor (someone who isn't a fully qualified yet) i was told my doctor was busy, and couldnt talk to me. Why are they being paid as a full time doctor if they can't even manage to see their patients even as a phonecall.
I am sorry that you are unhappy with your appointment with a junior doctor. Junior doctors, whilst not fully trained psychiatrists, are able to see and assess patients in outpatients and work under supervision of a consultant. It would not be usual to ask a patient’s consent to see a junior doctor, as they work under the consultant that cares for you. Seeing a doctor in training is a very common occurrence in the NHS as a whole. I cannot comment about the availability of your consultant on that day but suggest that you request an appointment with them via their secretary
I am sorry this has been your experience. I have passed your comment to the service manager for action. In the meantime you may wish to contact our confidential helpline (PALS) on pals@nhft.nhs.uk. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager.
I am a psychic and have spiritual problems. I don’t know if your medicine works your way?

I have been working with CMHT team since I was 18, I was working with CAMHS before this. When I first joined the service back in 2014 they were very good, always at the end of the phone, very supportive but that only seemed to last for a couple of weeks( I feel like I was hook, lined and sinker) after that they were very distant, some staff members were rude- dr Latin was horrible and don’t listen to what I had to say, I felt so uncomfortable talking to the team about my problems as was made to feel like I was attention seeking, and not worth helping( it’s the same now). I have been promised therapy by This team that will b able to give me a normal life I want but this has yet to happen after 6 years of being promised this however they are able to get a ex friend of mine with there help into her own house( when I was homeless CMHT. Refused to help me and told me to council even thou I was sleeping on streets) get her into therapy( she has been working with them for less time than myself, this all happened since March 2020) and has given her all the puppet she has ever asked for but yet is not able to do this for me or for a few other of my friends(who have also been failed by CMHT)
This has made me feel worthless, and makes me feel that they don’t want to help me at all it really does make me sad and angry.
They keep promising me all this stuff that has never happened, when my mum/key worker/social worker have tried to speak to CMHT, they are out through to voicemails, told by receptionist they would b called bk later on that day(Monday ) and wnt hear back until week later even thou they were told it was important, When my key worker/mum/social worker they have been spoken to rudely and quote *feel like I’m smacking my head on brick wall”. I am really angry at the way they treat us, they are ment to b here to help us but they don’t- just make us worse- a chocolate teapot is more use than any member that works for CMHT !!
When I have ring up for support, I haven’t received any- one time when I ring up in a distressed state, I ended up breaking down in tears and the phone and said I was feeling suicidal, the worker at the other end of the phone responded with, I’m sorry I need to go please ring back if you need us. She didn’t even acknowledge what I had said which madee feel a lot worse.
They don’t always remember that they have appointments with the clients & also leave you with no support.other than a zoom call with the Ed team and SCM therapy lady(pointless her being in the call as didn’t say/do anything) I have not had support from the mental health team since my discharge in March, while for other ppl I know it’s been longer( not a call, or a text or email nothing).
The way CMHT have treated me, been with me have made me feel like there’s no point in asking for help as it won’t come until you are on a slab in the morgue, CMHT don’t care about each client individually we are just money and statistics to them- I don’t like talking about my mental to the ppl who are trained, so I keep it to myself until I break. Every time CMHT say they will change they don’t but I do and I’m sick of working with a device that don’t care about me !!
Thank you for your feedback - we're sorry you feel you have had a bad experience with the team. We offer a range of assessments for our service users depending on their requirements. We have a duty system that service users are able to access for telephone support. If you would like to discuss your case in more detail please can contact us.
Nobody mentioned anything about different cultures.
Thank you for your feedback - our consultant psychiatrist review patients at different times, depending on their individual need, however we offer a duty system for telephone support which can be utilised by all our service users.
