Nursing staff seem very caring and committed. Regular update of patient's progress need to be given to relatives. I love when Sally and some of the night staff are on.

Thank you for your feedback. Hazelwood ward has commenced a review on how to improve communication strategies with patients and carers: implementing dedicated consultation time with doctors where carers can make an appointment to see the doctor. Also implementing dedicated ward matron rounds at visiting times to enable access to senior nurse. A new Multi-disciplinary meeting standard has also been devised and is being implemented which again should optimise communication opportunities with patients and carers. The ward is very active at having family meetings but would like to review how well our new standard for MDT meetings is working at Hazelwood
