I have had several reasons to visit Grantham Hospital, over a number of years, for my wife, other family members and myself. It has to rate as one of the nation's friendliest and most efficient hospitals, with caring, considerate staff in every department: doctors, nurses, technicians, therapists and administrators. Car parking is easy and convenient (thank you for lowering the prices recently - that is a real help too) and the hospital's (mostly) single level nature makes it easy for wheelchair users also.
Grantham Hospital has a great number of local people who have good reason to be grateful for its existence and we all hope and pray it will remain there to care for those of us who need its quality of care.
Great overall care shown for recent planned surgery, amazing staff
I took my daughter to Grantham urgent care department last night after feeling dissatisfied with the treatment and lack of care received from a Stamford GP.
I never write reviews but my trip late last night deserves one!!!
From the moment we got there to the minute we left me and my daughter were treated with care, attention and respect! The guys on reception were amazing, the doctor and staff on shift did everything to make my daughter feel at ease and despite the late night did, everything they could to make her laugh.
I wish I knew their names but you were all great!! Thankyou all so much.
All the staff in the urgent care dept were lovely and made us feel at ease, nothing was a problem.
Excellent care and professionalism by all staff I met,
Had a 15 day stay 7 days in intensive care The care i had was amazing I do believe if I had payed for Private treatment it could not have been any better than I recived in GRANTHAM ...CONGRATULATIONS AND THANk YOU xx
I went for an ultrasound and waited no more than 5 minutes before being called in, albeit early in the day. The treatment was dignified and well explained to me, I completed my appointment well within the 1 hour parking time...p.s. I would have been very cross if I had been delayed over the hour and had to pay the next level of charge at 4 hr parking charge...that is extortionate at something like £4.50 compared to £1.70 for the hour. So overall excellent 5* service from the NHS Medical Team, shocking rip-off 1* for the NHS Estates Team! At least have a 2-hour lower charge.
I had a full knee replacement on 7th January 2020. The staff were very friendly and attentive and welcoming. I was a very anxious patient and they put me at ease immediately. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. The patient care was second to none. Thank you so much.
I have attended this hospital several times the most recent for surgery on my elbow, and again 9 weeks later for knee surgery. The surgeons I have had have been absolutely amazing, they have kept me informed every step of the way, whilst having surgery they and the anesthetists kept my diabetes well controlled using my freestyle libre sensor and whilst using this they could see which direction my sugar levels were going and correct if required. I was given the opportunity to attend physio after stitches were removed after my elbow surgery which was beneficial to get movement back into the joint ASAP.
For my first experience of a hospital treatment and short stay I could not ask for more, and the out patient (rehabilitation) has been wonderful and the staff are a great bunch, serious but have a super sense of humour, I would highly recommend to anyone.
