I went to A&E very reluctantly on the afternoon of 5th December having had a rapid irregular heart rate for quite a few hours. I know how busy they are there and really didn't want to bother them. The staff were all an absolute credit to the NHS - Doctors, nurses, HCA's, all could not have been more professional and kind.
I was there a few hours situated in a bay in front of the work station and could see how busy they all were and yet they dealt with my situation with calm efficiency and humour. They also dealt with various emergencies, upset patients and relatives and some rather demanding and rude people - and remained calm and friendly at all times.
It made me so very proud of our NHS, they all should know how great they are so a big thanks I hope you read this and realise how much I appreciated you all.
Relative of a patient in ICU
I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff on the acute medical unit, 2nd floor, think it may have been C3. My father came in last week with a suspected minor stroke. The care from A&E to his discharge was excellent, the staff went out of their way to look after him. He lost his memory and could not understand how he got there or who he was, everyone dealt with him sensitively as this was very distressing for him. He does not live in Grimsby and we had to travel over 100 miles to be with him and the staff were so understanding allowing us to stay with him and ressure him. Thank you to all the medical staff who were so thorough and gave him great treatment.
Thanks again
The hospital staff were all kind and looked after me well.
