Dr very caring thorough and explained everything as far as I know.
Quite a long wait, my treatment category not explained to me I had to ask and the waiting area seating was a bit like musical chairs.
got told i was wasting there time , i suffer with extreme anxiety and was only doing what 111 told me to do going to a and e.
Upon our arrival at A&E my son and I were rudely greeted by a staff nurse of reception, whom repeatedly contradicted everything I relayed from a previous conversation I had with my sons GP. If my son hadn’t been referred by his GP, the initial reception would have made us turn right around and leave. Fortunately, after a 3 and half hour wait, the Doctor who treated my son was very pleasant and helpful. The Doctor did confirm and agree with everything my sons GP had originally said too, making our encounter with the staff nurse at reception even more inappropriate. Whilst waiting, I further witness other attendees in A&E be spoken to and treated with the same bad attitude and disrespectful behaviour as my son and I received.
I received a first class service and treatment.
Arrived at 11.30 (via Gainsborough and Scunthorpe A&E who didn’t have Opthamology depts open) and didn’t get to see a consultant until 4.30 in Ward 3B. So after arriving at Scunthorpe A&E at 10am I didn’t get home until 6pm? Flutters and flashes in right eye obviously not a concern. Disappointed. Saw dr in Grimsby A&E at 2.20pm and told I needed to see a dr in Ward B3 at 4.30pm.
I left after 4 hours after not being seen by anybody.
I spoke to the receptionist twice about how much longer I would have to wait.
I found one receptionist very patronising and stating 'how longs a piece of string'
while wearing her mask was under her chin!
Also privacy at the desk is poor when having to state my name, address and date of birth and why I am there for every person to listen to
Nurse was amazing who treat me had dash for emergency came back to me in a calm prprofessional manner and apoligised which was not needed
Very disgusted in my whole experience. Waited 5hrs to be told that I won't be seen to. I was involved in a RTA and I had a head injury and bad back. I was told to sign a discharge form and go home and ring my GP if the headaches and bad back continue. It was the worst experience I've ever had at that hospital.
Bev was amazing, kept both myself & my husband at ease all the way through.
Whilst overall I was satisfied I think some thought should be given to the comfort of the patients waiting to be seen. I have arthritis and sciatica and found the seating extremely uncomfortable.
The only other comment would be the waiting times but whilst GP’s are not seeing patients this is inevitable.
Please take these matters as complaints they are just suggestions.
