Sat for 3 hours waiting before even being assessed. Once assessed we were moved and sat in a waiting room with 4 other people. 1 of which had ruptured appendix and had been waiting for 7 hours and was clearing in a lot of discomfort.
The care was excellent and very quick indeed. My son dislocated his knee cap which meant a trip to A and E. we expected a 4-5 hour minimum visit but had an x ray. CT scan and was seen by doctor twice all within just over 2 hours which was unbelievable.
Staff were lovely . Unfortunately 11 hours is a long time and I was put in different areas to wait , a&e plus 2 day units, Increasing my exposure to covid from other people in these busy areas. Although I was supposed to be lying flat, I was left in an uncomfortable upright chair for 9 hours.
The first lot of nurses were lovely and very polite and informed me of everything what was happening. Then I was moved to a fit sit area this is were things went wrong I felt the nurses were very rude and when I asked the question of how much longer I was going to be (after being there 5 hours) I was told they would find out and never returned with the answer I was that fed up I had had nothing to eat all day I left without finding out my results. I approached the desk to inform them of my decision and everybody just ignored me so I left unfortunately
During my visit to urgent care whilst the nurse was taking my observations and logging my symptoms, another nurse entered the room and completely cut me off and started talking about another patients prostate.
The nurse then didn’t listen to a word I was saying about my symptoms and only took down minimal information
Was barely informed on anything
Still have the chest pains I was submitted with and still have no idea why I have the pains
I went to A&E after being hit by a car while I was on my bicycle..I was visibly injured and shaken yet triage decided I was no more a priority than a man with earache...j informed staff on my arrival paramedics asked my husband to bring me in because a ambulance would of taken too and was sent to the back of the queue..
Attended MRI scan (urology referral) today 18th August 2021 at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital Grimsby.
Fabulous new MRI suite, staff so efficient and caring.
Really impressed-top marks and more.
I arrived as an emergency, unable to breath due to an asthma attack. Ambulance staff took me in from the car...amazing people. I was found a space in the extremely busy and over crowded resus department where the care from the drs and nurses was amazing.
Once I was feeling well enough to talk, I was taken to a waiting area, a children's room at the end of the minors corridor.
This room was filthy. A womans hand bled everywhere badly, in the 4 hours I was in this room with her, the floor wasn't cleaned at all. A woman in a private room opposite was meant to be insolation, drs and nurses entering the room wore full pipe yet when she used the toilet in out 4 seated waiting room, she wore no ppe and did this numerous times.
I had to fight for my life prior to and during being in resus, this leaves me in an immense amount of pain in my chest, back, arms and tummy from fighting to breath. I was exhausted and needed to lie down. I appreciate that a and e was busy but I physically slept on the floor for 2 hours. What a disgrace!! Dpowh should feel ashamed that patients have to go through this. I discharged myself out of desperation of comfort and sleep.
I'm still very poorly and I'm fearful that I will be returning over the coming days!
Waiting for 5 hours without no treatment and after
Someone come and said need more 6 hour’s of waiting. Real bad service
