I had the longest wait ever waiting to see a doctor, from 20mins past midnight to 8am ( Monday 8th may) I went and spoke to reception, said I've now been sitting waiting for 7 hours 30 minutes ( all through the night) and still haven't seen a doctor, so I'm going home because I can't physically sit any longer, iam suffering from hemorrhoids that are bleeding, and the cream that was prescribed caused an horrendous rash inside my bottom, swelling burning, itching, so trying to sit on a small chair for that length of time was almost impossible,I understand that they have to prioritize who's seen first,I get that But where do the N H S draw the line at how long anyone is expected to wait !!! . so I signed a form at reception to be taken off the waiting list and went home, I have always supported the N H S but this shows the system's broken. I would be interested in reading your thoughts on my horrendous experience

Suggested improvements
I was seem by Triage at approximately 2.45am that took about 10 minutes, then told to go back and wait in reception, and would be called through, But over 5 hours later I still hadn't seen a Doctor,You could have kept me informed of how much longer i might need to wait,as the hours ticked by the reception was almost empty, but I'm still sitting there, thinking have i been forgotten, I did speak to reception at about 7 am and was told they couldn't say how much longer I would have to wait, so by 8am i decided to go home, enough is enough but i am as entitled as anyone else to see a doctor and not just be left like I don't exist.
