The Darenth Valley staff I met were professional and helpful. The hospital was clean. I'd recommend this hospital.
Hospital is very clean, friendly staff, nurses and consultants.
Make you feel at ease
Released far too early without any thought of how she was going to take care of herself. Little or no information about after care. Discharged into my care - it was a given that she would be re-admitted back into hospital - but luckily she was staying with me in Dorset so went to a proper hospital and has been given the right care - they were also horrified that she was not treated for her heart condition before being released.
The staff are helpful and the environment clean
Darent Valley Hospital have great staff and I am happy to be under them. I had one bad experience with a midwife on Aspen Ward but I will not let that ruin how good the hospital is.
I was admitted to Chestnut ward on the 16thof June 2019 with decompensated Congestive Cardiac Failure, and discharged on the 22nd.
The treatment ,kindness ,warmth, and efficiency, of every person I saw or met during my stay was of the very highest standard.
My appreciation and gratitude to all of them could not be higher.
I’m writing my review about the antenatal clinic and the midwifes throughout the hospital. First of antenatal clinic, all they midwifes in the clinic were always so polite and friendly and done amazing at their jobs, if information was needed for me to know they always told me. The women that were on cedar ward were brilliant! Especially when the week I went in for induction and then labour it was as if everyone wanted their babies that week it was so busy and the midwifes were rushed off their feet and they do not get the credit that they absolutely deserve, so thank you for looking after me the whole time I was on the ward whilst in labour and after labour! Thank you to Marie who I believe actually helped with my induction and examinations tremendously!Delivery suite, the midwife that delivered me Donna Burrows, well Thankyou, Thankyou for your constant support throughout delivery and your care afterwards, I literally couldn’t and wouldn’t want to of had anyone else to deliver my baby you was such a great comfort thank you so much and I hope of and when I have another you’re there to deliver my next baby! There was also another lady that was in and out assisting who was also there at actually delivery time Thankyou to her too she was such a lovely lady!
I have recently been transferred to Mr El - Sayed clinic at Darenth Valley and I cannot rate the care there highly enough.
From the first appointment I had I was made to feel completely at ease and everything was explained to me in great detail, I didn't feel rushed and was able to leave feeling reassured of everything that was going to happen moving forward.
Since then I have had phone calls when I have been told I would, appointments have come through quickly and test results are always back quickly.
Mr El - Sayed's receptionist is lovely and always answers the phone first time, she is very friendly and happy to help.
I personally see a nurse named Harriet, she is great and makes me feel very comfortable.
I had a procedure my Mr El- Sayed himself and he also made me feel very comfortable, he explained everything in great detail, he was professional but very friendly.
I feel very happy that I am now in the clinic's care.
This is a great hospital with the beginnings of a capacity problem. They get you in and turf you out as soon as you can crawl. That said, the service was ace with the surgeon and anaesthetist top notch and could not be faulted.
I hope the crisis hitting the NHS can be addressed, it would be a shame to watch this fine hospital go downhill.
From the moment I entered the building I had anpositive experience. When I looked lost I was approached by the staff to help me to find the right department. The staff who supported me was very approachable and compassionate. I attended outpatient appointment and the clinic was clean and equipment of high quality.
I also received a call the day after the treatment to check how I was what I found really helpful as allowed me to ask any questions about my symptoms and how they related to the treatment I had. The calling nurse was also very kind and compassionate. I was also impressed with the food facilities on site. Very positive experience so far.
