6th October 2021

I have been a patient of the gender identity clinic 2016-2021 and have been given the best possible care from this hospital. The kindness, understanding, and respect was shockingly good from the get go which sadly was not the case in most other medical providers I was a patient at. The nurses and doctors had up to date knowledge and I am eternally grateful and thankful for what they have given me physically and mentally. I have been discharged from this service as I have got the treatment I needed but would fully recommend the GIC to anybody. From the receptionists to the psychiatrists they have all been very polite, kind, helpful, supportive, knowledgeable. Thank you to Dr Tickle, Dr Timmins, Dr Ekanem and all other staff

Suggested improvements
The worst thing I can say is waiting times but that is not in the control of the hospital staff. Dear folks on long waiting lists: once you get to the first appointment, the team are very sympathetic that you have waited for a very long time for it and will work to make your transition happen in the way that you want.
